Excursions and activities

Due to its convenient geographical location, our site can offer a large number of walks, bike rides and other excursions in the vicinity.

There are lots of natural features to explore, or places of historic and artistic significance to visit, all within 30 min to an hour's drive away.

Here is a small selection:

Breitachklamm (Breitach Gorge)

See spectacular canyons, etched by water into the cliff walls over thousands of years.

The small zoo, the haystack, the playground and the adventure features in the forest are all very popular with the children. Various events and special exhibitions make the visit interesting for adults too. Try what mountain cheese really tastes like.

Sport & entertainment

Waterskiing and wakeboarding in Immenstadt/Blaichach

Courses can be booked for the beginners' cableway. The second cableway for advanced water skiers has an obstacle course. It's exciting just to watch from the café terrace.

If you want to, you can try your skill in Bavaria's biggest high rope park.

The Eistobel

The „EISTOBEL“ (a ravine with waterfalls that is thousands of years old) is only 5 km away, and a hike through it is as fascinating in summer as it is in winter.

Mountain hiking

Only a few minutes' walk away there is an incredible view onto the mountain peaks of the Allgäu Alps.

Allgäu has a huge choice of hiking trails and mountain tours for hikers and nature lovers, but the alpine foothills are also attractive at any time of the year.

Sightseeing spots

Allgäu has lots of things worth seeing:
For example in Oberstdorf, 40 km away, you can visit the ski jump, famous as part of the Four Hills Tournament, or you can travel 30 km to Schloss Neuschwanstein, the castle built by Ludwig II of Bavaria, the "fairytale king".

Visit Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Neuschwanstein is one of the most popular castles in Europe.

Lake Constance

The whole region round Lake Constance is noted for its mild climate, its towns and its wealth of visitor attractions.
The mediaeval town centre of Lindau, Constance harbour entrance and Mainau, the "flower island", are all "must-sees".
